ChatGPT Dots
by OpenAI
- Price
- Comes with ChatGPT Pro ($100, $200 or $500 a month) or Business Premium (about $100 to $125 a seat). Not on Free, Go or Plus.
- Access
- Rolling out gradually. No Pro in the EU, UK or Switzerland. 18+.
- Best for
- Research, weekly briefs and content plans across Google Workspace and Slack.
What it does
An always-on agent with its own cloud computer. It starts from your ChatGPT memory, runs on a schedule, works in ChatGPT, Slack, Teams and by voice, and hands big jobs to Codex.
The catches
- The extra launch-month usage ends around the end of October. OpenAI hasn't said what the limits are after that.
- You can't see or edit what it remembers. The only reset is deleting the whole dot.
- It asks for confirmation a lot and won't enter 2FA codes. Expect drafts, not hands-off sending.

Connect
- Calendar
- Google Drive or Docs
- Slack
Skip
- Send access on your main inbox. Start it on read-only.
- Anything you'd hate it to remember. Disconnecting an app doesn't erase what it learned.
- Training on what it does. On personal Pro, turn off "Improve the model".
Every Monday at 8am, look at my calendar for this week and my Slack and email from the last 7 days. Send me a one-page brief: what's due, what's stuck, and 3 content ideas based on questions people asked me. Don't send or reply to anything.ChatGPT Dots official site ↗Turn your dot into a video editor →
Grok Bot
by xAI
- Price
- Comes with any paid Cursor plan (from $20) or SuperGrok ($30), SuperGrok Plus ($100) and SuperGrok Heavy ($300). No free tier.
- Access
- Beta. You sign up through a Cursor account. Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android.
- Best for
- Automating websites and tools that have no integrations, on the cheapest paid plan here.
What it does
Bots with their own cloud computer that log into your sites like a person. Show it a task once (up to 10 minutes) and it drafts a reusable skill. Bots run on a schedule with your laptop closed and hand work to each other.
The catches
- Every bot shares the same computer and logins. xAI says not to treat separate bots as a security boundary.
- The weekly allowance size isn't published. An hourly routine can use a week of usage in a day.
- There's no dry run. Testing a routine does the real thing, and approving later doesn't undo it.
Set it up right
Connect
- Only the logins one job needs
- A monthly spend limit in Cursor before you add routines
Skip
- Your bank. The bank connector sits in the same shared login space as every bot.
- Your main email until it has earned your trust.
- Hourly schedules. Start with daily.
Every weekday at 9am, check the latest posts from these 5 accounts: [paste links]. Send me one message: what each one posted, which post is doing best, and one idea I could use. Don't log in to anything or post anything.Muse
by Meta
- Price
- Free tier (Meta doesn't publish its limit). Power is $20 a month, Maximum is $100. A payment card is reportedly needed even for the free tier.
- Access
- US and Canada only. 18+.
- Best for
- Creators and businesses that live on Instagram, Facebook and Meta ads.
What it does
Meta's personal agent. It reads your Instagram pro or creator analytics, Facebook Pages and ad accounts, plus Shopify, Stripe, Canva, Klaviyo, Slack, Notion and more. It drafts posts and campaigns, and nothing publishes, sends or spends without your approval.
The catches
- It stalls on the last step: login walls, payment pages and publishing.
- It has misreported what it did. Check its work before you trust a "done".
- Your activity trains Meta's models unless you opt out.
Set it up right
Connect
- Instagram professional or creator account
- Facebook Page
- Ad account, to read results
Skip
- Ad budgets, until it has proven itself on drafts.
- Full-disk access on a Mac if it asks. Give it only what the task needs.
- Training. Opt out in settings on day one.
Look at my last 30 Instagram posts. Which 3 formats got the most saves and shares? Then draft 5 post ideas for next week in those formats, with a hook for each. Don't publish anything.Instinct
by Spear Street Technology
- Price
- No price list. The terms let them start charging at any time, and payments are non-refundable. They may take a cut of what you buy instead of charging a subscription.
- Access
- Invite only: each member gets 5 invites, or join the waitlist. 18+.
- Best for
- Travel and life admin, run by text. A personal assistant, not a business tool.
What it does
You text or call it. It works from its own computer and phone number: books and rebooks travel, checks you into flights, calls places that can't be booked online, chases emails you dropped, and texts you first.
The catches
- It has sent an email nobody approved and followed instructions hidden inside an email.
- It asks for very broad access and trains on your data by default. Opting out only counts from then on.
- What it agrees to on your behalf binds you, and while it's free the company's liability is capped at $100.
Set it up right
Connect
- Calendar
- Travel and airline accounts
- Passwords through 1Password, never pasted in chat
- One-time cards for purchases

by Nous Research
- Price
- The app is free and open source. You pay for the AI model: roughly $6 to $25 a month for light use, $30 to $80 for heavy use. Optional Nous plans are $20, $100 or $200 a month, and Hermes Cloud is about $17 a month while it runs.
- Access
- Anywhere. Desktop app for Mac and Windows, or run it on a server.
- Best for
- Tinkerers who want any model, privacy, and an assistant inside Telegram or WhatsApp.
What it does
An open-source agent that lives in Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord, Signal or email. It runs scheduled jobs you describe in plain English, learns your repeat tasks, and works with 300+ cloud models or ones on your own computer.
The catches
- By default it runs on your computer with no sandbox and can read any file you can.
- Model bills can spike. One user drained their whole balance in a 77-minute session.
- Connecting Gmail or Telegram is technical. Not for non-technical owners yet.
Set it up right
Connect
- A model API key with a spending cap
- Telegram or WhatsApp, so you can message it
Skip
- Your main laptop with all your files. Use Hermes Cloud or a cheap server instead.
- Turning off its approval checks.
- Your Claude Pro login. It doesn't work in Hermes.
Every weekday at 8am, send me on Telegram a 5-bullet brief of the biggest news in [your niche] from the last 24 hours, with links. Keep each bullet under 20 words.Manus Cue
by Manus
- Price
- Free in early access. The price after that hasn't been announced. Manus's main app runs on credits that expire every month.
- Access
- Invite only: code MEETCUE, limited, first come first served. Web, desktop and Android. iPhone is coming.
- Best for
- Experimenting with agents that use their own email and phone, not your real accounts.
What it does
Each agent gets its own email, phone number, budget-capped wallet and cloud computer. Put several in a group chat with one goal and they split the work.
The catches
- No independent reviews yet. Everything it promises is untested.
- Manus hasn't published how you approve payments or review what its agents did.
- In September a single email could hijack a Manus agent. That's fixed, but an agent with a public inbox is a target.
Set it up right
Connect
- Nothing personal at first. Let it use its own email and phone.
- A small wallet budget
Skip
- Your real logins.
- Anything you can't afford to lose. Manus deleted some users' data in August.
